About Us::
Greenwood Park Labradoodles is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. As a family and work force of four, we are striving to breed all around great family companions. Of greatest importance is exceptional health, wonderful temperament, non-shedding, and allergy-friendly. Despite how it may look, being the cutest dogs in the world is just a great by-product!
We purchased our first labradoodle in 2008. I had put countless hours researching breeds to find just the right dog for our family. We wanted a dog that would be another member of our family. It would live with us indoors and be a large part of our day to day lives. Having two small children, I wanted a breed that was reliably good with kids. Intelligence and trainability was another factor. As mild allergy sufferers we also wanted an allergy-friendly breed. Since the dog was to be indoors, the non-shedding coat and lack of doggie odor was a huge plus! As an active family, we also needed a dog who could keep up with us. But we wanted her to be able to spend quiet time relaxing too! The more research I did the more convinced I become that the labradoodle was the dog for us. From the moment we welcomed Bella into our home, she has filled our lives with joy! She surpassed every expectation we had and brought forth characteristics we didn’t even think to hope for. She has unending patience with my children, ages six and four. She is always caring and concerned in times of distress. She is goofy and comical when we need a laugh. She is warm and cozy when we need a hug. She is a precious member of our family. Her sweet nature and gentleness also make her a favorite among her groomers, veterinarian, and anyone she meets. She truly is the perfect dog!
Because we could hardly believe our luck in getting such a great dog, I began to research the breed further. I discovered I was not alone in feeling I owned the world’s greatest dog! It seems this is common to the breed. After much research into the origins and development of the Australian Labradoodle, I was moved to have a more active role. Not only did I hope to be able to offer other families their perfect family companion, but also work in the development and future of the breed. After months of researching Australian Labradoodle breeders and dogs, we added Brandy and Rosie to our family. I am so excited about these girls! First and foremost they are much loved pets. They spend their days with us as a family. Being blessed to be a stay-at-home mother I can be with them most of the time. They have free reign of our home and fenced in yard. We also have access to a thirty acre park area adjacent to our property to run and romp! Aside from being wonderful additions to our family, we look forward to them blessing us with their puppies.
We raise all our puppies in our home. Our family is constantly handling and playing with them. I look forward to watching each litter and the puppies personalities come forth. I hope to get to know the families who are adopting my puppies so as to make sure they get their perfect pet. While I know that each little puppy will take a piece of my heart, I can’t wait until they find their forever families. It is my greatest hope that the puppies raised here will bless the lives of their families as much as mine has been!
Best Wishes,
Hilary Hammer
